A device and method for searching databases 102 of cemetery records 102 use a graphical user interface 116 to display to a user a representation of the records 102 arranged to reflect the relative location of graves to which the biographical information contained in the records 102 pertains. The graphical user interface 102 may display an alphabetical list 124 of names of deceased individuals contained within the records 102 as well as digital photos and digital video of headstones. Records 102 may be accessed according to cemetery and in alphabetical order. Records 102 may also be accessed by viewing a representation such as an image 202 of a gravestone, and other records 102 may be accessed according to the location of the graves. |
