Disclosed is a semitrailer coupling (1) comprising a coupling plate (4) and a bearing block (5) used for movably fastening the coupling plate (4) to a frame (3) of a tractor. Said bearing block (5) is provided with a bearing area (6) and a fastening area (7). The bearing area (6) is embodied such that the coupling plate (4) can be pivotably mounted while the fastening area (7) is configured such that the coupling plate (4) can be detachably fixed to a frame (3) of the tractor. The bearing area (6) has a larger cross section than the fastening area (6), said cross section extending in the direction of travel (x) and parallel to the swiveling axis (y).
