PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooving tool which keeps a fitting rigidity high and throwaway tip. SOLUTION: The grooving tool is formed of: serrations 40 and 60 such that a plurality of grooves 41 etc., and 61 etc., and a plurality of crests 42 etc., and 62 etc., both extending along an axial direction O, are alternately arranged, in a first tip restraint surface 31 in a tip fitting seat 30, and in the central part 51A of upper surface 51 of a tip 50; and serrations 40 and 60 such that a plurality of grooves 41 etc. and 61 etc, and a plurality of crests 42 etc., and 62 etc., both extending along an axial direction O, are alternately arranged, in a second tip restraint surface 32 in the tip fitting seat 30, and in the lower surface 52 of the tip 50.
