摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene and a protein encoded by the gene, useful for developing new drugs acting on biological control mechanism and involved in respiratory diseases, and to provide a method for efficiently evaluating activity regulators for the protein.

SOLUTION: The gene(DNA) consists of a specific base sequence. The calcium-sensitive potassium channel protein is encoded by the DNA. An anti-sense nucleic acid corresponding to the DNA sequence is provided. A method for searching substance(s) regulating the channel function of the protein involving using the protein is provided. A specific antibody against the protein is also provided.
