PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device which can be reduced in its thickness, can display bright images and does not hinder cutting of an electro-optic panel of piece-parts out of a large-sized panel structure, an electronic equipment provided with such electro-optic device and a method for manufacturing the electro-optic device. SOLUTION: The electro-optic device 1 is formed with a recessed part 28a on the surface on the side where a first polarizing member 6a of a first substrate 22a for display is arranged, in which the first polarizing member 6a is internally arranged. Also, the device is arranged with a recessed part 28b on the surface on the side where a second polarizing member 6b of a second substrate 22b for display is arranged, in which the second polarizing member 6b and a reflection plate 7 are internally arranged.
