PURPOSE:To obtain a serotonin incorporation inhibitor containing a specific piperazine derivatives as an active component, exhibiting safe and excellent serotonin incorporation inhibiting action and useful as an antidepressant. CONSTITUTION:This inhibitor contains a compound (salt) of the formula [R<1> and R<2> are each H, a halogen; R<3> is H, an alkyl, an acyl; R<4> is H, an alkyl, an acyl, an alkylsulfonyl or an (esterified) carboxyl; Ar is a (substituted)phenyl or an N-containing monocyclic heteroaromatic ring; (m) is 1-5; (n) is 0-5], preferably 1-[4,4-bis(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-(2-hydroxy-3- -phenylaminopropyl)piperazine as an active component. The administration rate of the agent for adult is preferably 10-1,000mg for oral administration and 1-500mg for parenteral administration. |
