摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling the attitude of a satellite 100 while its appendage 114 such as a large-sized reflector is spread. SOLUTION: The satellite has a mass characteristic varying when its appendage is spread and is equipped with a plurality of momentum wheels and a plurality of solar cells, and the environmental torque which the satellite 100 receives while the appendage 114 is spread is predicted, and the size and the direction of the momentum applied to the satellite 100 oppositely at least partially to the predicted environmental torque are calculated, and before spreading the appendage 114, the size and the direction of the momentum of at least one momentum wheel 242 are stored in memory.
