The electromagnetic jamming system has a HV energy source (8), an ultra-wideband pulse former (4), a wideband pulse former and a combined ultra-wideband and wideband antenna (6), the wideband pulse former having at least 2 inter-changeable wideband units (9) with different center frequencies. An Independent claim for an operating method for an electromagnetic jamming system is also included.
