PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture evaporation type cooling roof and wall body structure efficient with small consumption of water and high in durability. SOLUTION: The moisture evaporation type cooling roof and wall body structure are constituted to be supplied with moisture by rainfall, or rainwater or the like from a water supply device installed at a building upper part. In the roof and wall body structure, a thermosensitive water absorbing/discharging polymer layer is laminated on the outer surface of a structure body, and a protective material with shading property, at least one of water absorbing property and water permeability or with steam passing property is provided on the thermosensitive water absorbing/discharging polymer layer. Efficient cooling can thereby be attained with water absorbed/discharged by a thermosensitive water absorbing/discharging polymer according to the temperature, and since shading is performed by the protective material, the durability of the thermosensitive water absorbing/discharging polymer can be improved.
