<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of printing by enabling a normal printer also to share an image processing resource of a high performance printer connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: In a printing system including a plurality of printers mutually connected through a communication line and designating one of the printers to perform printing, at least one of the printers is a high performance printer having high image processing capacity and at least one of the printers is a normal printer having only normal image processing capacity. When the processing capacity of an image processing function by the high performance printer is prescribed times or more of that of the normal printer, the image processing function is not performed by the normal printer but is representatively performed by the high performance printer, the result of the processing is not performed by the normal printer but is representatively performed by the high performance printer and the processed result is transferred to the normal printer and printed out by the normal printer which is designated to perform printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
