<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device in which power of a display device can be turned off without waiting for lapse of prescribed time when a key operation of a camera is not performed. <P>SOLUTION: The display device is provided with an image pickup means for outputting an image signal, a display means for displaying a video of an object by the image signal outputted from the image pickup means, a movement detection means for detecting movement of the object by comparing difference data obtained by comparing a luminance signal of the present image signal outputted from the image pickup means with an image signal preceding by not less than one frame with a value which is previously set, and a control means for switching a standard mode whose update speed of the picture displayed on the display means is regular and a power saving display mode whose update speed is slower than regular speed in the middle of waiting for photographing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
