<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket for a handrail, completely adjusting fitting height and fitting angle or the like of a handrail by very simple operation without detaching the handrail and the bracket, enough putting the handrail fully aside to the wall, increasing the effective width of a staircase passage to the maximum, having no fear of breaking the bracket even if excessive impact force is applied to the handrail, and having excellent durability performance. <P>SOLUTION: This bracket for a handrail is composed of a fitting seat for fitting to a wall surface, a handrail receiving part for supporting the handrail, and a strut connecting them.
