<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate in which an image can be recorded with IR laser light based on digital signals and which has favorable sensitivity, printing durability and excellent contamination preventing property, and to provide a lithographic printing original plate which can be well treated with a developer liquid containing no alkali metal silicate. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate has a recording layer containing (A) an alkali-soluble resin, (B) an IR absorbent and (C) a thiol compound on the following aluminum supporting body. The aluminum supporting body has 0.005 mass% copper content in the aluminum alloy as the source material, is subjected to roughening treatment including electrochemical roughening treatment, has ≤1.2 μm average diameter of surface pits with 1×10<SP>6</SP>to 125×10<SP>6</SP>/mm<SP>2</SP>average density of the pits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
