摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling charging door of reheating furnace is provided to minimize explosion and thermal loss of the furnace by simultaneously scanning a curved surface part formed on the surface of slab and detecting height of a certain point of the slab in real time, thereby controlling opening and closing of the charging door. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises light transmitting and light receiving photo sensors(10,10a) for detecting the admission state of slab(6); a scan roller(12) which is slid on the surface of the slab, and on side surface and front surface of which first pulse generator(13) and first limit switch(18) are installed; a scan part(20) connected to the scan roller to detect height of the slab according to the surface state of the slab; a resistor(16) for outputting resistance values according to height values detected by the scan part; an air cylinder(14) for vertically moving the scan part by pneumatic pressure through first and second solenoid valves(32,34); a roller main body(22) which is fixed to upper rails(28) in such a way that the roller main body is slid by driving motor, to which stopping bar(24) is attached, and which is connected to the air cylinder; second limit switch(26) operated by the stopping bar(24); an input and output operation part(36) in which control program and control data for operating the whole apparatus are stored; and second pulse generator(40) for detecting the opening state of the charging door.
