PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current measuring device capable of automatically adjusting the amplification rate of an amplification means for amplifying a current waveform to a specified magnitude. SOLUTION: This electric energy measuring device is equipped with a current sensor 1 for capturing the current waveform, the amplification means 2 for amplifying the output of the current sensor 1 to the specified magnitude, a rectifying / averaging means 3 for rectifying and averaging the output waveform of the amplification means 2, and a level determination means 4 for detecting the level of the output waveform of the averaging means 3. The determination means 4 divides the rated level value of the amplification means 2 by the level value of the output waveform of the averaging means 3, and outputs a value obtained by the division to the amplification means 2.
