PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device automatically actuated in accordance with the intensity of ultraviolet ray. SOLUTION: This automatic actuation device comprises an ultraviolet ray detecting device 11 for generating an electric signal indicating the intensity of ultraviolet ray of the received light, a comparing device 12 communicated with the ultraviolet ray detecting device, receiving the electric signal to compare the intensity of ultraviolet ray with a first threshold value, and generating an actuation signal when the intensity of ultraviolet ray has a specific relationship to the first threshold value, and a driven object 13 communicated with the comparing device and actuated in accordance with the actuation signal to change its state. The driven object is, for example, a glare-proof rearview mirror 132, a light shielding curtain 151, a headlight 141 and a transmissivity adjustable window 16, of a vehicle, or a light shielding curtain and a transmissivity adjustable window of a building.
