PURPOSE: A plasma display device is provided to prevent a discharge delay and allow for a high speed addressing by forming a sustain electrode into a mesh type. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display device(30) comprises a front substrate(31); a bus electrode(32) formed beneath the front substrate; a plurality of sustain electrodes(40) including common electrodes(41) and scan electrodes(42) arranged in the direction perpendicular to the both side walls of the bus electrode; a front dielectric layer(33) for burying the bus electrode and the sustain electrodes; a protective film layer(34) formed beneath the front dielectric layer; a rear substrate(310) opposed to the front substrate; an address electrode(320) formed on the rear substrate; a rear dielectric layer(330) for burying the address electrode; barrier ribs(340) formed on the rear dielectric layer, and which define a discharge space; and red, green, and blue phosphor layers(371R,371G,371B) deposited in the discharge space. Each of the sustain electrodes has a mesh shape, and the sustain electrodes are opposed each other in the discharge space. |
