PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that can reduce an EMI caused in the serial data transmission route in a difference data transmission method. SOLUTION: In the image display device, difference digital data outputted from the difference modulator (12) is converted to a serial signal in a differential signal modulator (14), demodulated to difference digital data in a differential signal demodulator (16), converted to digital image data in a difference demodulator (18), and displayed in an image display section (20). The device is characterized in that the difference digital data includes the difference absolute value data of plural bits showing the absolute value, that the differential signal modulators output the data on the higher bit side among the difference absolute value data of one pixel portion, in the first or the second half of the period in which the serial signal of the one pixel portion is outputted, and that the modulators output the data on the lower bit side among the difference absolute value data of one pixel portion, in the second or the first half of the period in which the serial signal of the one pixel portion is outputted.
