PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water sealing material which can exert a water sealing function from immediately after being laid and which is equipped with durability capable of maintain the water sealing function over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This water sealing material (water sealing rubber) 10, which is to be arranged along a joint 31 between concrete structures 30, is equipped with a flexible part 11 which is to be deformed depending on a displacement between the concrete structures 30, a pair of flange parts 12 which are to be fixed to the respective concrete structures adjoining each other by continuing in the longitudinal direction of the flexible part 11, and streak-like or belt-like water-expanded rubbers 13 and 14 which are located on surfaces 12a, brought into contact with the concrete structures, of the flange parts and elongated in the longitudinal direction of the material 10. Each of the flange parts 12 are provided with the two rubbers 13 and 14, and the two rubbers 13 and 14, which are provided in the same flange part 12, have mutually different rates of expansion.
