Room-defining panel (1) comprises at least one mineral wool plate (2) provided on at least one of its two main outer sides (3, 4) with a cover layer (5). The mineral wool plate consists of fibers (9) running perpendicular to the main outer sides. The fibers in at least one plane parallel to the main outer sides run parallel to this plane. Preferred Features: The mineral wool plate consists of at least one folded mineral wool mat (8). The deviating regions (10, 11) formed at the folds contain the fibers running parallel to the plane. The thickness of the deviating regions is 5-25% of the overall thickness (b) of a panel.
