PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key plate for preventing looseness in a head. SOLUTION: This key plate fixes the head 2 having a pair of hard covers 1 and 1 connected by being elastically repulsively locked in the obverse/reverse direction to one end of a key blade 3, and is constituted so that a connecting boundary of the hard covers 1 is provided with an elastic leg 5 projecting toward the other from one and projected to a tip by turning a hook 4 to the side, and the other is provided with an inclined surface 6 interfering with the tip of the elastic leg 5 in connecting operation and elastically deforming the elastic leg 5 in the projecting direction of the hook 4, and an engaging part 8 for receiving the hook 4 according to the deformation of the elastic leg 5 and having a ceiling wall 7 pulled in the base end side of the elastic leg 5 by interfering with the hook 4 according to the longitudinal directional movement of the elastic leg 5 of the hook 4.
