<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffuser with high transmissivity which is used for a back projection type display, a backlit image formation medium, a liquid crystal display component, a device, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The light diffuser comprises a compound lens which has concave or convex lenses of 15 to 40 microns in mean width and is also provided with small lenses of 2 to 20 microns in mean width on respective lens surfaces.
