A low rigidity and high strength titanium alloy excellent in cold workability, which has a chemical composition, in mass %: one or two of Nb: 25 % or less and V: 15 % or less, with the proviso that Nb + V >= 0.5 % and the amount of V is less than 10 % when the alloy contains Nb and V, Mo: 3 to 20 %, Zr: 7.1 to 30 %, O: 0.30 % or less, and the balance: Ti and inevitable impurities; and the above titanium alloy, which optionally further comprises, in place of a part of the titanium, one or more of Al, Sn, Ta and W in amounts in mass % wherein the total amount is 25 % or less, the sum of the amounts of Al and Sn is 5 % or less, and the sum of the amounts of Ta and W is 20 % or less. |
