摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is an anode material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which gives high capacity and excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics and is prepared with ease in an industrial scale. CONSTITUTION: The anode material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises, as an anode active material, a material capable of lithium ion intercalation/deintercalation treated with an organosilicon-based surface treating agent, wherein the surface of the anode active material is coated with a conductive coating layer. Particularly, the material capable of lithium ion intercalation/deintercalation is silicon, composite dispersion of silicon and silicon dioxide, silicon oxide represented by the formula of SiOx (wherein x is 1.0 or more and less than 1.6), or a mixture thereof.
