PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of generating an optional geometric pattern by generating optional skeletons differed in pattern by use of morphology operation. SOLUTION: This method for generating the geometric pattern from image information compressed by morphology skeletons of a binary image comprises the following processing (1)-(5). (1) An original image is compressed by use of a main structural element, and both the main structural element and the compressed original image are registered. (2) A new pattern holding the characteristic of the original image is generated by use of the main structural element registered in (1) and a newly selected sub-structural element. (3) A new main structural element is selected as occasion demands, a sub-structural element is selected to be varied from the combination of (2), and a new pattern is generated. (4) The processing of (3) is further repeated as occasion demands. (5) The generated patterns are combined, and a complicated pattern is generated by arithmetic operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
