PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raising seedling tool enabling the transplantation of seedlings on a bed without taking the seedling out of a raising seedling cup or collapsing the root ball in the transplantation of a field crop and dispensing with the work to tie a suspension string near the fragile growing base part of a crop to be cultured using a suspension string such as tomato and melon and provide a method for the transplantation of seedlings by the combined use of trays holding the raising seedling tools. SOLUTION: The raising seedling tool 1 is formed by opening a number of through-holes for passing the root on the side faces and bottom face of the tool in dispersed state, attaching a handle 2 and forming a notch groove composed of an engaging part 3 to wind and fix the suspension string at the upper part of the handle 2. A definite number of the raising seedling tools are held in a tray 7, seeds are sowed on the tool, a number of the trays are stacked on a germination apparatus 9 to grow the seedlings in the apparatus, the trays are extracted from the germination apparatus and transported to a planting bed, and the seedlings (raising seedling tool) is extracted from the tray and planted on a planting bed 11.
