<p>The bag is formed from two sheets (10, 12) of transparent plastics material, generally triangular in shape. Profiled zipper strips (14,16) form a reclosable fastener. A gusset is formed by inturned portions (10g, 12g) along edges (10c, 12c) of the sheets (10, 12). The gusset can be penned out to form a base on which the bag can stand.The bag is useful for packaging of food products particularly grapes. The bag may be used for both transportation and storage of the fruit and also for its presentation for sale. During transportation and storage, a number of bags are placed in boxes or crates with their reclosable fasteners lowermost. When presented for sale however the bags stand on their bases formed by the gussets.</p> |
