PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of nano-sized 2,3-bis(4'-methyl-biphenyl-4-yl) acrylonitrile(MBAN) particles having improved fluorescent efficiency by precipitation arising from the difference in solubility between MBAN and mixed solvent. CONSTITUTION: The nano-sized MBAN powder is prepared by the following steps of: dissolving MBAN in a first solvent such as tetrahydrofuran(THF), chloroform, toluene, acetone, benzene or 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone; adding a second solvent, such as water, methanol or ethanol which is mixed with the first solvent but is not mixed with MBAN, to the first solution; mixing the solution to get nano-sized precipitates, MBAN particles. In case that the first solvent is THF and the second solvent is H2O, the volume ratio of water is more the 60% based on the total amounts of solvent, the reaction temperature is 20-60deg.C and the mixing ratio is 200-600rpm. The fluorescent efficiency of MBAN particles formed in the mixed solvent is increased by 2-10times compared to that of MBAN in the single solvent.
