PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for use in aquarium fish basins causing no death of aquarium fishes due to bubbling and/or water pollution effected by any auxiliary and sufficient in mechanical strength retention. SOLUTION: The filter is obtained by laminating at least two fiber layers with each other, mutually interlacing the constituent fibers and integratedly bonding the layers together via a binder. The binder contains no water-soluble auxiliary, its content being 10-40 wt.%, on a solid basis, of the total basis weight of this filter. This filter, when installed in an aquarium fish basin, gives a temperature gradient in a coarse-to-dense fashion from the inlet to outlet side of water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
