Method for transfer of software modules or data from an external software station (4) over a data bus (1) to a coupled target control unit (3) via a communications control unit (5). In order to increase the transfer capacity of the data bus the software module is transmitted at a frequency higher than that normally existing on the bus by use of a modulation transceiver unit (7) at the source end and a similar unit (8) at the target end.
