<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite ion exchange membrane which has high mechanical strength and suitable for use as a polymer solid electrolyte membrane excellent in ion conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: In a cross-section of the composite ion exchange membrane made by impregnating ion exchange resin into a supporting body membrane composed of polybenzazole-base polymer with continuous space, a straight line cutting a composite membrane vertically in a thickness direction is set in an analysis area, and when a line analysis by using an electron probe micro-analyzer is applied to an element only contained in the ion exchange resin, scatter of X-ray count value becomes ≤50% in the CV value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
