PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oven lid-sealing apparatus of a chamber type coke oven, which can surely seal the oven lid by using pressurized air without applying gas-sealing by the tight contact of a conventional knife edge or a seal member. SOLUTION: This oven lid-sealing apparatus of the chamber type coke oven is characterized in that an oven lid lining comprises coking plates 5 loaded to cover boxes whose lower portions are opened, and heat-insulating spaces 4 disposed on the insides of the coking places 5, and further that an pressurized air-discharging apparatus comprises pressurized air-guiding pipes 62 each having a discharging nozzle 61 for discharging the pressurized air in a space on the inside of each coking plate 5, and openings 52 disposed between the loaded coking plates 5 and used for discharging the pressurized air on the outsides of the coking plates 5, whereby a space ranged from the coking plates 5 to knife edges 32 is changed into a pressurized air atmosphere with the pressurized air discharged from the openings 52.
