PURPOSE: A process for preparing aluminum alkoxide from an aluminum waste is provided, thereby significantly reducing the preparation cost and environment-friendly preparing aluminum lower alkoxide with high purity. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing aluminum alkoxide from an aluminum waste comprises the steps of: heating an aluminum waste at 300 to 1200 deg. C to remove paints, pigments, plastics, sticker or other impurities; heating the optionally split aluminum waste at the temperature above the melting point of lower alkanol in the presence of catalyst at atmospheric pressure or more; and distilling the aluminum waste under reduced pressure, wherein the catalyst is selected from mercuric chloride, mercuric iodide, iodine or ferric chloride; and the aluminum waste is selected from aluminum can, aluminum foil or other aluminum wastes.
