A lowerable elevating platform for a vehicle, comprising a lifting mechanism (30) for lifting and lowering a platform (50) and guide rails (21) in which the lifting mechanism (30) is respectively maintained in a suspended manner by a vertical carriage (32) and can be slidingly displaced between a working position located behind the vehicle and an operational position located belo w the vehicle. Each carriage (32) comprises a front guiding element (40a) provided with an upper sliding piece (42a) and a rear guiding element (40b) provided with a lower sliding piece (42b). The front guiding element (40a) i s attached to the carriage (32) from above and is locked to the carriage (32) at a right angle in relation to the direction of attachment. The rear guiding element (40b) is attached to the carriage (32) from below in an opening (32. 3) of the carriage (32) and is locked at a right angle to the carriage (32) in relation to the direction of attachment.
