PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exterminating vermin in a house such as mite in high efficiency and provide a heater-controlling device for actualizing the method. SOLUTION: A heater 1 heating a sheet 2 is controlled to keep the temperature of the lower part of a passage 22a to≥35°C and <50°C (preferably≥40°C and <50°C). Mites existing near the lower part 22b (the area encircled with dotted line) of the passage 22a are moved through the passage 22a to the surface of a surface material 22a or thereabout by keeping the temperature of the lower part 22b to≥35°C and <50°C.
