DICTIONARY PREPARATION DEVICE FOR DETECTING SPECIFIC MARK, SPECIFIC MARK DETECTION DEVICE, SPECIFIC MARK RECOGNITION DEVICE, AND PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific mark recognition device by which comparison processing of image levels with small dictionary capacity and a small number of erroneous detections is made possible, in detecting a specific mark having an unknown rotation angle from an image.

SOLUTION: The specific mark recognition device detects the specific mark from the image through storing the image of the specific mark in a dictionary by converting the image of the specific mark into a polar coordinate image in polar coordinate expression expressed by the center distance and the center angle when detecting the specific mark from the image; restoring the image in which the polar coordinate image in the dictionary is rotated; and comparing the restored image with specific mark candidate in the image being detection object.
