<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid operated valve with a plurality of ports, having a spool in a valve body for communicating the ports with one another in different combinations. <P>SOLUTION: The spool for driving a solenoid joined thereto has a coil wound around an annular bobbin. The annular bobbin has a conductive and non-magnetic metal tube in the bobbin. A first pole member extends into one end of the tube and a second pole member extends into the other end of the tube. In the pole members, different housings are arranged. Each bush has a cylindrical body with a first end section having an outer diameter larger than a second end section and the second end section having an inner diameter smaller than the first end section.
