<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature-regulating device capable of regulating a heating element to a prescribed temperature in severe environmental temperatures for use with low power consumption, and a laser module at low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: This temperature-regulating device has a first thermoelectric cooling module, a second thermoelectric cooling module for installing the first thermoelectric cooling module, and the heating element which is installed in the first thermoelectric cooling module and is regulated in its temperature. If the area of a board for installing the heating element of the first thermoelectric cooling module is S1 (mm<SP>2</SP>) and the heating value of the heating element is Qd (mW), Qd/S1 satisfies a relation 20≤Qd/S1≤200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
