PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inspecting a brain dysfunction by a higher degree with which more accurate inspection results can be expected by making a patient to consciously stare fixedly at a central position of an inspection region by performing a relatively simple operation by himself. SOLUTION: When this device is used, the patient A is made to recognize targets T displayed at arbitrary positions of the inspection region C set on the screen W of an information processor and whether the patient A is suffering from a high degree brain dysfunction such as Alzheimer's disease, is checked based on the rate of right answers for the targets T recognized by the patient A. In order to make the patient A to consciously stare fixedly at the central position of the region C before starting the inspection, this device is provided with a pointer display means 52 displaying a pointer P on the screen W, a pointer moving means 53 moving the pointer P through operating a mouse 3, a point-to-be-watched display means 51 displaying a point R to be watched at the central position of the region C, an overlap detecting means 54 detecting an overlap when the pointer P overlaps the point R while the pointer P is moved by the moving means 53, and a weight 6 working as a pointer deviation preventing means for inhibiting the movement of the pointer P with a frequency higher than a specified one.
