PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine starter eliminating prying by supporting a driven shaft having a pinion at the end with two shaft bearings having a sufficient shaft bearing span. SOLUTION: The bearing 23a is installed in a housing 1 and the bearing 23b is installed in a center housing 2. The driven shaft 20 is placed in the inner circumference of a spline tube 26. The outer circumference of the driven shaft 20 and the inner circumference 26c of the spline tube 26 slidably fit each other, and a spline 20a, 26a are spline-connected at the outside diameters.
