<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil base ball point pen having good handwriting fastness, sufficient external color recognition, a good feeling of writing and a good handwriting density, and excellent stability with time. <P>SOLUTION: An ink composition for the oil base ball point pen comprises a solvent, a coloring material, and a rust proof lubricant, and the solvent is a water-containing W/O organic solvent, the coloring agent uses a dye and a pigment together, the pigment is dispersed in the ink by a nonionic surface active agent, and the rust proof lubricant is a phosphoric ester surface active agent.
