摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless apparatus which copes with adaptive modulation wherein communication quality is not deteriorated even when a multiple number of the communication system is changed during communication, and also to provide a channel assignment method and a channel assignment program. SOLUTION: When a terminal coping with the adaptive modulation makes a connection request to a base station coping with the adaptive modulation, the base station measures a D wave level denoting the communication environment of a transmission channel. When the measured D wave level is a threshold value or over of a D wave level at which communication adopting a modulation system (16QAM) with a greater multiple value number is available, the base station permits assignment of a wireless channel to the terminal. Thus, even when the modulation system (π/4 shift QPSK) with a smaller multiple value number is switched to the modulation system with the greater multiple value number (16QAM), deterioration in the communication quality due to a communication environment of the transmission channel is prevented.
