PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simplifying styrene preparation by combining styrene production with a paraxylene production loop. SOLUTION: At least one chromatography column or one absorption column functioning in a simulating moving bed and extracting paraxylene is used. Styrene is extracted not only by at least one of second chromatography columns but by using another technique selected from simple distillation, azeotropic distillation or extraction distillation, liquid-liquid extraction, formation of a chemical complex, membrane separation, separation through absorption and several combinations of those techniques.
