Geometric morphing wing with layers

An airfoil member (14) is provided including a geometric morphing device (18). The geometric morphing device (18) has an inflatable member (30). The inflatable member (30) has an exterior wall (32) and multiple inflated states. Multiple layers are coupled to at least a portion of the exterior wall (32) and control size, shape, and expansion ability of the geometric morphing device (18). The geometric morphing device (18) is adjustable in size and shape by changing inflated state of the inflatable member (30). An airfoil member altering system (12) and a method of performing the same are also provided as well as a method of forming the geometric morphing device (18).
