PURPOSE: A reception restriction setting method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to restrict receiving an undesired call by cutting off a paging channel of a mobile communication terminal to basically block a call connection signal coming from a base station or a PSTN. CONSTITUTION: In a state that a reception restriction set program is stored in a memory unit, a user determines whether to set reception restriction through an initial menu of a mobile communication terminal(S301,S302). If a terminal controller recognizes data requesting setting reception restriction, it cuts off a paging channel of a signal receiver to basically block a receiving signal from a PSTN or a base station. With the reception restriction function set, the terminal controller proceeds with a reception restriction-related set flow stored in the memory unit through a display unit. If the user intends to set a release reservation time of the reception restriction function, the terminal controller recognizes data on a release reservation time of the reception restriction function and stores it in the memory unit(S303,S304). If the user does not set the release reservation time of the reception restriction function, the mobile communication terminal remains in the reception restricted state(S305). If the user selects a key for releasing the reception restriction function, the terminal controller returns the paging channel to its original state to receive a receiving signal from the base station or the PSTN(S306,S307).
