PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower with an increased air blowing efficiency and a vacuum cleaner having the electric blower. SOLUTION: This electric blower comprises an air guide 5 having a plurality of guide vanes 24 and a casing 6 covering the air guide 5. An exhaust part 7 exhausting a part of the sucked air flow is provided on the outer periphery of the casing 6, and the width A of the exhaust part 7 in the outer peripheral direction is made approximately equal to a distance B between the outer peripheral ends of the adjacent guide vanes 24.
