摘要 PURPOSE: An optical disk device for increasing recording efficiency is provided to skip a header or an error detection code and an error correction code to transmit user data only at sampling frequency timing, in case of audio data, consequently a disk where the audio data is recorded can be played in a high-density recording mode. CONSTITUTION: A DVD decoder(6) decodes read data outputted from a front end processing circuit(2) by corresponding to a DVD standard data format. When audio data in accordance with a CD-DA standard is decoded by a CD decoder(5) and the DVD decoder(6), the audio data is converted into analog data and is outputted from audio output terminals(8,9) by a D/A converter(7). An interface(10) controls a data exchanging with an upper apparatus connected through a connection terminal(11). A CD encoder(12) encodes data inputted through the interface(10), and generates CD data. A DVD encoder(13) encodes the inputted data, and generates DVD data.
