PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth chips storing device of hemstitching sewing machine capable of moving a containing device for containing cut chips to a standby position containing in a cloth table. SOLUTION: The cloth chips storing device of hemstitching sewing machine comprises the cloth table (5) supporting a sewing matter on the upper surface, a cutting device (6) arranged close to the one end of the cloth table for cutting the edge of the sewing matter prior to sewing, a looper cover (7) in which a guide surface for guiding downward a cut chip cut with the cutting device is formed, and a container (8) for collecting cut chips guided along the guiding surface of the looper cover. The container vessel is supported capable of moving to and from the standby position contained in the cloth table and the collection position collecting cut chips in the constitution.
