PURPOSE: A method and a device for preventing shift within a reference position of a clutch operating by an actuator controlled by axial displacement between a clutch input shaft and a clutch output shaft are provided to decide and store the reference position and to update the reference position periodically. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing shift within a reference position of a clutch operating by an actuator(16) controlled by axial displacement between a clutch input shaft and a clutch output shaft comprises a hydraulic path between an adjusting member of the actuator and a setting member(9) of a clutch(4); a control unit(14) controlling the actuator; sensors(19,20,22,26,28) connected to the control device; a unit for determining the force obtained by the actuator for the adjustment of the adjusting member; and a unit for sensing torque transmitted by the clutch.
