PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lowering of cooling efficiency caused by freezing of an evaporator in a freezer in a chill car for transporting low temperature goods. SOLUTION: In the chill car 1 with the evaporator 5 constituting a refrigerator, disposed in the freezer 3, an electric heater 20 is mounted to the evaporator 5, and a door of the freezer 3 is provided with a switch 8 for detecting the opening/closing operation of the door, and relays 27, 28 to which the operation of the refrigerator is transmitted. When the operation stop of the refrigerator is detected by the relays 27, 28, and opening of the door 7 of the freezer 3 is detected by the switch 8, the electric heater 20 is allowed to generate heat to perform defrosting action.
